The Belle Vernon Area High School Gifted Support Program aids a student’s enrichment with activities that are generally off-campus.  Individual support activities are determined through a gifted individual education prescription (GIEP) developed by the Support Team comprised of school administrators, teachers, the student and his/her parents.

Curriculum work is in the student's targeted area(s) and may be cross-curricular in nature.  Activities are generally above grade level, project oriented, off-campus seminar, competition, or juried assignments.  Focus on learning at the analysis level is the ultimate goal.  Both team work and specialized individual activities are included.   Students participate according to strengths, needs and GIEP objectives.
