Cheerleading Tryouts

Cheerleading tryouts are usually held near the end of May so that cheerleading practices can be scheduled throughout the summer to prepare for the upcoming season.

Several practices take place the week before tryouts. These practice sessions enable all candidates to learn new material. This process ensures that the selection of the squad is chosen as fairly as possible.

During these practices, candidates are taught everything they will need to know for tryouts, which are usually held at the Rostraver Middle School in the gymnasium. The judges are chosen beforehand and have specific guidelines to follow. They must not be related to a candidate in any way, not know any one girl personally, and, of course, be qualified for the job.
